Kitchen Porter

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the chefs, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are maintained.
- Keep the kitchen area clean and tidy, including washing dishes, pots, and pans promptly.
- Organise and store kitchen supplies and equipment efficiently to facilitate smooth operations.
- Support chefs during busy service periods by helping with basic cooking tasks when needed.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained properly.
- Dispose of waste correctly and assist in maintaining a safe working environment.
- Help with deliveries and stock rotation to ensure freshness of ingredients.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is key.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques would be advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with kitchen staff.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.

Applicants must be 18 years or older

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £10.00-£12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 20 per week
