Kitchen Porter

**Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team here at The Briery in stainburn, Workington in a fast-paced hospitality environment. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in supporting our culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about food preparation and have an interest in the culinary arts, whether in a restaurant, hotel, or other hospitality settings.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by the kitchen staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and utensils.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Help with the delivery and storage of food supplies and ingredients.
- Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance as needed.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Participate in regular cleaning schedules to uphold hygiene standards.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks quickly.
- Good communication skills to interact with kitchen staff effectively.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the business needs.

Pay: £11.50-£12.50 per hour
