Located in the Beamish Burn conservation area, Red Row Estate is the beautiful 37 acre setting to The Black Horse Beamish, The Orchard Marquee and our luxury accommodation, Old Red Row, Huckleberry Cottage and Red Row Retreat.

We are looking forward to adding a new staff member to our well established team for an immediate start and seek expressions of interest. In this important role for our business, your responsibility will be to effectively handle and convert wedding and event enquiries from initial contact through to final detail planning and conducting the event itself.

A genuine interest and enthusiasm for the organisation of events and weddings is a must, previous wedding planning experience is particularly beneficial, as would a history of working within a premium hospitality environment. You will need excellent organisation / time management skills and the ability to use your own initiative.

A good degree of self confidence and excellent communication skills are essential to get the most from this position.

Responsibilities
- To operate as a well motivated sales representative for both corporate and wedding events and contribute to the effective delivery of our teams' events targets.

Engaging in both inbound and outbound enquires as required through various communication channels

Conducting tours of our facilities with potential clients and business partners and selling the strengths of our rural venue and it's relaxing extensive views

Managing regular planning meetings with clients e.g tastings and planning sessions

Contributing to the team achieving their monthly and annual sales targets and attending weekly meetings with the management / marketing team

Keeping stringent records and inputting data into our systems about the events being organised

Liaising with clients between booking and event delivery to ensure everything is discussed and recorded.

Taking deposits and payments.

Co-ordinating suppliers and events staff on the day

Recording customer feedback

To assist and support our happy couples throughout their entire wedding journey with us

Notifying and chasing overdue payments if required

Committed to ensuring every wedding and event organised is a success

Working with the events team to ensure the set up and itinerary exactly meet the brides brief for the day

Benefits
- Pay = £11.50 per hour plus sales commission with bonus for exceeding targets, paid monthly secured on event deposits taken (expected on target commission earnings from £4000 p.a)

28 days holiday per annum

Full training is provided on our operational strategy and the specifics of venue management

Requirements
- The ability to effectively sell products and services to both wedding and business customers with good conversion rates and excellent customer feedback.

To work effectively as part of a team

The ability to build robust customer relationships and deliver high standards of service with a genuine and approachable manner is essential.

To be punctual and dependable with consistent availability delivered to customers

To be committed to ensuring every wedding and event organised is a success

Having up-to-date knowledge of Wedding trends

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a wedding / corporate event / premium hospitality management is preferred

You will be IT literate and it would be advantageous for you to have some working knowledge of Rezlynx ( Guestline ).

Wednesday - 9 hrs

Thursday - 9 hrs

Friday - 8 hrs

Saturday - 8 hrs

Sunday - 6 Hrs

The remaining hours are flexible depending on events and appointments and can comprise evening appointments at the venue (min 2 per month) and/or home working.
