An opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Domestic to work at Brackley Medical Centre & Community Hospital. The Post holder will be a part of a multi-disciplined team whose main task is to undertake general Facilities & Domestic duties, removal of waste, communicating with ward and hotel services staff, maintaining strict confidentiality and being focused on maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our staff, patients and visitors.

**Some of the main duties include**:

- To provide a high quality domestic service to wards, departments, clinics and health centres in a way that is conducive to patient care ensuring legislative and operational policies are adhered to.
- To undertake all cleaning tasks by following the cleaning specifications and by using the appropriate equipment and materials.
- The Facilities Domestic should work closely with other staff to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- To carry out all aspects of floor maintenance
- Regular removal of waste in accordance with hospital procedures and colour coding.
- To use all chemicals/cleaning agents in a safe economical manner, in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. To only use chemicals which are supplied by the Trust.
- To use machinery in a correct and safe manner as per instructions/training and to ensure all equipment is maintained and stored in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
- Undertake deep clean, clinical clean, admission and infection cleans as required
- Collect and deliver laundry, stores, food trolleys and associated waste, beds, bedding and furniture.
- To assist with the receipt and storage of deliveries to the hospital/site, moving goods and reporting any shortfalls or faults in service delivery to the Hotel Services Team Leader.
