We are recruiting for a legal secretary for our busy and growing legal and estate agency business based in Kirkcaldy.

Core hours will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm with 1 hour for lunch. You will be salaried commensurate with experience and overtime is paid beyond a certain time when business requirements may need additional hours to be covered.

Experience of working in a Scottish legal office is absolutely essential. You must particularly have experience of dealing with Residential Conveyancing (post 2014 under the new 2012, Conveyancing Act), private client work (wills, powers of attorney, Executries) and matrimonial matters. We are a very busy practice and you will assist a number of Solicitors and fee earners.

Experience of working with a digital dictation system would be advantageous together with experience of dealing with Registers of Scotland registrations, LBTT returns with Revenue Scotland, ordering up property Searches, dealing with the Office of the Public Guardian and the court for Executry matters. Experience of drafting wills and court documents for matrimonial matters is also advantageous.

You must be motivated, dedicated and a team player who is passionate about delivery of excellent legal services to our clients.Excellent salary and working conditions.Full or Part Time Considered.Driving licence and car essential.Experience with Case Management, good IT and audio typing skills are essential. You must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Please note that only experienced applicants will be responded to.

We are a friendly team who work in an open plan office to share knowledge between us.
