**About the role**

We are looking for a **Warehouse Team Leader** for our site in **Portbury (Bristol)**. Your role is to manage all activities within the department, ensuring all goals and targets are met (quality, service, safety, cost, people, morale); control standardwork and implement problem solving process when deviating from standard and Embed a systemised approach to continuous improvement to deliver success with sustainability.

**Key responsibilities**
- Communicate with the Department Manager on Daily priorities.
- Coordinate the CI activity within the Department.
- Standardise shift handovers.
- Implement all absence and sickness procedures.
- Labour utilisation within Department.
- Highlight any skills gaps within team and discuss options to rectify with Department Manager.
- Act on all disciplinary issues within procedures.
- Ensure all KPI targets are met and investigate reasons when deviating from standard.
- Provide coaching and support for department and encourage improvements.
- Identify and coach for future roles and succession chain.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are met through daily audits and continuous monitoring.
- Continuous reviews of all staff within Department identifying and addressing performance.
- To ensure the safety of all team members through continuous improvement of safety standards.
- Work with Department Manager and carry out risk assessment of machinery where needed.

**Qualifications and skills**

**Must have**
- 3+ years in a production/warehouse role.
- 1+ experience in a lead role.
- People and stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of Quality Systems.
- Understands HACCP and QHSE standards and systems in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of any ERP.
- Computer literate (Basic level of Excel).
- Understanding of KPIs.

**Nice to have**
- Experience gained in a food manufacturing environment.
- Experience gained in a unionised environment.
- An understanding of the core principles behind a continuous improvement culture.
- Warehouse background.
- SAP knowledge.
- IOSH.
