Advantage Resourcing are currenly recruiting for 2 x Intergrated Community Directors to work for part of the NHS in North Wales.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Deputy Chief Executive/Executive Director Integrated Clinical Delivery and being a senior leader in the University Health Board's Senior Management team, the Integrated Health Community Director is responsible for serving the population bybeing unambiguously accountable for all aspects of the Health Community's delivery of quality, activity and financial performance through culture, strategy, people and resource management. Specifically that includes all services delivered with in a group Primaryand Community Services, Secondary Care Services, Support Services, Partnership & Community Engagement, specific 'hub and spoke' managed services.
The post holder has responsibility for collaborating with colleagues in other Health Communities and Service Support Functions to provide high quality well-being and care services taking account of the needs of the whole north Wales population. They will beresponsible for the provision of strategic leadership to ensure a safety culture, high quality and efficient management of all services within the responsibility and accountability of the specified Health Community, including the population's health and thedelivery of care services. In particular, the post holder will have accountability to ensure there is a positive patient and community centred culture that delivers good outcomes for the population, continually collaborating with partner organisations, staffand patients to improve population wellness and clinical care outcomes.
Key accountabilities and responsibilities include:
- Ensure all services are integrated and focussed around the well-being and care of people in the Health Community's geography.
- Ensure all decisions about local service design, implementation and operational management fully take account of the needs of the North Wales population as a whole.
- Provide high quality population health, wellness and integrated care delivery services for the community, within budget and in alignment with national and local targets.
- Improve the services for the community by setting and maintaining a positive and open culture. One that enables listening and learning and collaboration with other public and third sector organisations; Provide leadership, direction and support to all staffwithin the Health Community fostering an open and inclusive style of management, encouraging team working and good working relationships. This also includes the positive management of services with independent contractors.
- Continually improve the services provided to the community through proactive involvement of staff, patients and external partners. Agreed improvement methodologies will be adopted to deliver change.
- Keep services safe through strong and robust Health Community governance and assurance using the three lines of defence (quality, staff engagement, activity, clinical standards and financial) which links closely to Health Board wide governance.
- Proactive adoption and monitoring of all clinical and clinical professional standards and audit recommendations.
- System leadership at the most senior level both on leading and improving services within the Health Board, across north Wales and Wales with partners.
- Improve the working environment by supporting staff through continuous learning, education, development and meaningful appraisal.
- Ensure care is of the highest quality through the Health Community's active involvement in the transformation initiatives, standard setting, audit and monitoring mechanisms.
- Enable excellence in research, innovation and development.
Person Specification
Knowledge & Qualifications
- Current GMC/GDC/NMC/HCPC registration or equivalent for other clinical discipline
- Post graduate qualifications in health service management. Leadership, MBA or equivalent experience.
- Evidence of continued managerial professional development including regular attendance on internal and external study programmes.
- Extensive in-depth knowledge and understanding of a range of issues across the NHS and NHS patient agenda
