**Caretaker (Block and Mobile Cleaning)**

**Permanent (37 hours per week)**

An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a Caretaker within our Environmental Services team.

The Caretaker team, provide high quality cleaning services to internal and external communal spaces around our customers’ homes. Working in high, medium, and low-rise blocks as well as sheltered & extra care schemes, and temporary accommodation. Including providing high reach window cleaning to many sites.

We take ownership of what we do, managing our time and resources effectively ensuring we meet the needs of our customers. Our teams take pride in our work and go the extra mile as the face of Stockport Homes. An integral aspect of the role is to keep our eyes wide open, always safeguarding customers and our colleagues.

Responsible for the cleanliness, safety, and security of Stockport Homes buildings; you must always deliver an excellent level of customer service, even when faced with challenging behaviours. You will be required to communicate effectively with your manager and colleagues to ensure all work is completed and, where necessary, to solve problems as they arise.

Working pro-actively on areas which require the most intensive cleaning, you must be flexible and open to change with an understanding of relevant health and safety regulations with experience and knowledge of the use of cleaning equipment and be organised and have a can-do attitude.

You should complete any training required to carry out the job safely, protecting both yourself and others around you, and be aware to report any safeguarding issues. You will be responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels on site so all cleaning and maintenance tasks can be carried out efficiently and effectively.

Previous experience of working in a caretaking, cleaning or high reach window cleaning role is desirable, but not essential as all relevant training will be given. A full driving licence is required.
