**About the Role**:
**Caretaker (with some cleaning responsibilities)**
**An exciting opportunity has arisen for a hardworking, reliable and committed caretaker to join our friendly team at Hursthead Junior School.**

**Hours**:37 hours per week split shift 6.30am to 10.30am (Mon Fri) and 2.30pm 6pm (Mon Thurs) 2.30pm 5.30pm (Fri).

**Salary**:NJC Scale 3 point 5 £24,790 FTE

**Contract**:Full time, Full Year**,**Permanent

The Trustees of the Kirkstead Education Trust at Hursthead Junior School wish to appoint a motivated individual who is highly organised, proactive, flexible and prides themselves on meticulous attention to detail. He /she will play an integral part in the safe and efficient operation of the school site, including:

- Securing the site and operating systems such as intruder and fire alarms
- Cleaning to a high standard
- General maintenance duties and minor repairs
- Key holder responsibilities
- Effective communication with the school team and liaison with contractors
- Accurate and effective record keeping
- Preparation/ set up of school events including out of hours meetings and performances
