At Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S), we have an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team at RAF Waddington responsible for supporting the Royal Air Force’s Shadow aircraft.

You will be responsible for delivering outputs across our business where you will focus on varied and meaningful projects that support the UK’s armed forces.

Your stakeholder skills will play a key part in this role, working with industry partners and the Royal Air Force, you’ll contribute to the delivery of contracts that support the life cycle of aircraft, ensuring we deliver world class equipment for the Royal Air Force.

You’ll be part of a diverse team that integrates new elements into the service delivery space, you will ensure everyone is collaboratively working, communicating, and delivering your plan of action, while bringing your stakeholders on the journey with you.

Initially as the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) practitioner, you will be based at RAF Waddington with an expectation to attend the office one to two days a week, eventually moving to a more regular basis.

Some UK travel to Abbey Wood near Bristol, or the contractor's facility at Broughton near Chester, will be required. Reasonable notice will be given, and travel and sustenance costs will be paid.

**Person specification**:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

- Provide the Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) Elements, providing a risk assured supportability case and accountability for coordinating the inputs to the case, which includes maintenance, security and safety cases cross functionally and with Industry.
- Lead the ILS inputs into the Shadow Long Term Support contract, communicating and collaborating with Engineering, Supply Chain, Commercial, Industry, and RAF Front Line Command in, managing the current and future in-service availability, reliability, maintainability, and sustainability to meet training and operational service requirements.
- Support the integration of new capabilities into the platform’s support solution, developing associated ILS documentation using Industry standard ILS methodologies, and ensuring support arrangements are fit for purpose holding the supplier to account for their delivery.
- Provide accurate support information and data insights to continually improve the availability and influencing effective post design activities for the platform or the maintenance solution
- Ensure support governance regimes are implemented as part of Through Life Support management for evaluating and implementing changes to the Shadow platform to its out of service date

**Who are we looking for?**
- Experience of working in at least one of the following fields: ILS, engineering, supportability, or operations.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills at all levels/grades.
- Experience of developing and guiding teams in the support, design, update, and upkeep of equipment/products and/or enhancing support performance.
- A proven record of leading, or responding to, the development of the ILS Plan, ILS deliverables and element plans, which have influenced the design and development of supportable equipment/products, for producing optimised support arrangements.
- Knowledge and experience with managing Logistic Support Technical Information requirements and the configuration control of Technical Documentation.
