**Recovery Coordinator** who has the skills and experience to assess and engage with our service users, ensuring that they access the right intervention at the right time, in a way that best meets their needs. With this role you’ll be working as part of Hostel, Homeless and Outreach Team, based in Wirral.

You will have to record information about what you do, so enjoying a bit of paperwork and attention to detail is important. But most of the time you will be enjoying working with people from all backgrounds, making a difference to their lives. No two days are the same and we treat every person who comes into our service as an individual, so being flexible, curious and a good listener are key.

**Hours**:37.5 hrs per week

**Salary**: £26,393 - £30,316 dependent on experience

**Responsibilities**:
**About the role**:

- Hold a caseload and Deliver specific interventions designed to reduce the harm caused by use of substances including opiates, non-opiates and Alcohol to clients that are homeless or living in Hostels
- Ensure that service users receive a comprehensive, recovery based service user plan; including support for preparation for detox and aftercare and links to healthcare
- Assessment of need including: current drug use; drug history; physical and mental health; social situation and risk assessment
- Increasing the number of individuals who are homeless or living in hostels accessing Treatment
- Providing advocacy for access to partnership services
- Deliver interventions in the Hostels including individual and Groupwork where appropriate and work with Hostel and outreach staff to support vulnerable service users

**About you**:

- Prior knowledge and experience of providing interventions for service users affected by Substance use and experiencing homelessness or living in Temporary accommodation
- Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding issues and vulnerable adult procedures
- Experience of engaging with a wide variety of individuals
- Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders
- Ability to manage change successfully in a way that prioritises the needs of service users
- Seek out learning opportunities to improve and broaden your professional knowledge and skills and to contribute and oversee the learning and development of others
