Role
Due to company expansion, we are looking for an experienced maintenance supervisor/ operative to support our team on crucial ongoing projects.
We are seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in joinery and general building maintenance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys varied, hands-on work, takes pride in maintaining a high-quality environment, and can adapt to different maintenance challenges across the site.
Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for co-ordinating and supervising the work within their own team, ensuring that all work is carried out safely and to programme
- Ensure all works are carried
out in line with approved method statements and that they have been briefed to the team and understood - Undertake preventive and reactive maintenance activities in line with site schedules and priorities.
- Diagnose issues, identify solutions, and complete repairs efficiently and safely
- Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and departments to ensure maintenance activities are well coordinated
- Accurately record all maintenance work using the site's computerised maintenance management system
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards at all times
- Be flexible and proactive, willing to 'turn your hand to anything' as required to support the operation of the site
Requirements
- Demonstrates qualities to deliver Trustland values e.g. honesty, integrity, teamwork, health + well-being, sustainability
- Proven experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer within a commercial, industrial, or regulated environment
- Knowledge of H&S regulations and safe systems of work (e.g., permits to work, risk assessments)
- Excellent people and communication skills
- Basic understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems
- Computer literacy is essential
- Experience working in a pharmaceutical, healthcare, or GMP-regulated environment would be advantageous
- Ideally holding an SSSTS qualification
