**The Role**:
The role will involve routine tasks which require precision and the ability to meet deadlines; and the ability to react to changes in regulation. Organisational and communication skills will be needed to perform this role.

**Responsibilities**:

- Part of the small team Verifying bank accounts using the sort code checker
- Carrying out Due diligence checks on new insurers.
- Carrying out Audits on property management clients who are not appointed representatives and identifying patterns and systemic errors.
- Carrying out internal audits on claims files.
- Keeping knowledge up to date with FCA bulletin.
- Deputising for the CO on complaints when he is on holiday, operating within the FCA timescales of 5-day notification, with summary complaints resolved within 3 days, 8 week complaints will only be dealt with by the CO
- Assisting the CO with Statutory submissions to the FCA For example - RMAR balance sheet etc inc. Part J, REP (understanding of management accounts) (twice a year)
- Assisting with the binder audits at branches. (Twice a year)
- Being involved with the development of St Giles’ in-house computer system to ensure the compliance aspect is sound.
- Assisting answering Questionnaires from insurers or the regulator about for example Value for Money or details of the placement chain
- Carry out annual reviews of the status and solvency level of insurers e.g. Standards and Poor’s Yearly
- Assist with the company insurance including professional indemnity, office insurance etc.
- Carrying out Sanction checking, e.g. Russians updates, name change etc.
- Having a Teams meeting Monday and Wednesday with the Compliance Officer.
