**WHAT TO EXPECT**

As a Global Strategic Buyer, you will utilise your experience to analyse, define, and implement market and sourcing strategies for your designated commodities on behalf of Jaguar Land Rover.

A Global Strategic Buyer will be responsible for the global commodity sourcing through the global sourcing process until launch of the vehicle. In addition, you will support and work closely with the Regional Delivery teams and engage with specialists within the Purchasing Function as required to ensure optimum value creation and delivery for Jaguar Land Rover, as well as leading stakeholder relationships and ensuring Jaguar Land Rover is appropriately represented both internally and externally.

You will report to the Procurement Manager and support in the development of the supplier and internal stakeholder relationships to ensure strategic and programme alignment. As well as this you will manage suppliers within your designated commodities, and responsible for Supplier Business Reviews ensuring that the Global Commodity Strategy and Supply Base Market strategy is effectively deployed throughout all of Jaguar Land Rover and the external supply chain.

This position will play a vital role with contributing to the future strategy of Jaguar Land Rover and will create various opportunities to cooperate with different business areas.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**

**Essential**:

- Degree qualified or equivalent experience
- Identify opportunities for creating value in a commodities and influence cross-functional engagement
- Maintaining compliance with standard policies and procedures
- Responsible for the execution of commodity and supplier strategy.
- To maintain effective operational relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensuring effective cost management of designated commodities and suppliers
- Work with the Capacity Planning Team (CPT) to manage strategic capacity changes and constraints (Post SCPA)
- Support the Global Commodity Leaders, to develop the supplier relationships globally for your designated commodities
- Monitor external supply chain performance and communicate to the relevant stakeholders as appropriate
- Driving system compliance throughout the supply chain

**Desirable**:

- Experience in purchasing for the interior of the car
- An individual with a proven track record in delivering results in both favourable and unfavourable conditions
- The ability to challenge in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style
- Experience of working in a global, multi-cultural environment
