Stock Control Assistant

IHSS offers an exciting opportunity for a Stock Control Assistant to ensure that appropriate amounts of stock are maintained by the business, to be able to meet customer demand without delay while keeping the costs associated with holding stock to a minimum.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Forecasting supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS)
- Checking stock levels on production floors and issue require materials/items form the stockroom
- Enter purchase details (information, invoices and pricing) into internal database
- Compare items received against items ordered
- Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed.
- Locating all received items in dedicated shelves/racks - this includes manual handling and using a pump track
- Compiling daily reports and addressing inventory discrepancies
- Daily control of temperature and humidity in the stockroom
- Coordinate regular inventory audits
- Implementing or improving processes and procedures and identifying discrepancies
**Key requirements**:

- Proven experience as Stock Controller or relevant role
- Good understanding of supply chain procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge of inventory management software
- Commitment to delivering a high level of customer service
- Excellent organisation skills
- Ability to work effectively and positively as part of a team
- Superb negotiation, collaboration and communication abilities.
- Fluent in English both verbally and written
- Flexibility to work hours as determined by the business, this is a full-time position and shifts will include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
