We are looking from someone to join our dynamic team of staff to support women who have experienced Domestic & Sexual Abuse.

You will work within a trauma informed team to provide a welcoming, safe and supportive environment for women and their children living in refuge. You’ll be compassionate and emotionally intelligent with a passion for supporting women who have experienced domestic & sexual abuse.

All WAAD staff tangibly contribute to providing hope, empowerment, choice and opportunities that actively promotes women and children in reaching their full potential as individuals and active participants in their community. **JOB DESCRIPTION**

**JOB TITLE**: Domestic & Sexual Abuse Evening Support Worker

**SCALE**: £11,222 per annum plus 4% pension above threshold of £6,240 (+ on-call payment)

**HOURS**: 7 nights / month

**TERM**:Permanent Contract

**RESPONSIBLE TO**: Refuge Senior Worker

**MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE**:
Welcome and integrate women and their children into the refuge.

Be aware of and effectively respond to the emotional and practical needs of families when they arrive at refuge and throughout their stay.

Provide support and information to help women access information needed to make informed choices.

Promote an environment that encourages women and children to support each other and learn through shared experiences.

Please Note: A Criminal Record will not necessarily be a bar to obtaining a position in Women’s Aid Armagh Down.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £11,222.00 per year
