**Job Purpose**:

- Responsible for providing specialist process support to a team of support / administrative colleagues
- Play a key role supporting the on-day operation, managing / prioritising daily workloads, providing analysis on key performance metrics and ensuring key SLAs are achieved
- Proactive management of permitting requirements
- Use their initiative in a high-pressure environment
- Produce right first time and data quality information.

**Key Responsibilities**:
The role holder will be accountable for:

- Supporting the Network in raising streetworks permits and the processing of S81s on an ad-hoc basis using the current permitting systems and providing BCM resilience / support when necessary
- Assessing and making decisions on the validity of street works related offences, negotiating with partners and highway authorities when required to achieve the correct best outcome
- Ensuring that the relevant systems are updated, and all reinstatement partners are aware of decisions made to provide a clear path to decision and resolution
- Ensuring and maintaining a strong working relationship with our internal and external partners and embrace partnership working where relevant to support in better service delivery across the business
- Reviewing and jeopardy manage all permits issued to ensure they are worked to their legislative SLAs and no charges are incurred
- Identifying opportunities for improvement based on the permit responses being received from the highway authorities, and the transfer of information within Cadent
- Supporting management team as and where required to resolve issues and drive improvements
- Working closely with the reporting element of the team; working together to drive performance and understanding with a collaborative approach and a robust overall performance view
- Attending meetings when required, with stakeholders, both internal and external, to review and discuss any issues identified within set processes, data submissions and individual charges
- Supporting in the day-to-day management of the current permitting systems
- Ensuring highest standard of compliance with street works administration.

- Appropriate academic qualifications - including GCSE English and Maths

Practical Experience
- In depth knowledge of NRSWA, TMA and governing legislation and guidance
- Good negotiation skills
- Ability to use own judgement daily for decision making
- Good listening and questioning skills
- Ability to prioritise requirements
- Identify and promote efficiency improvements
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good time management skills
- Flexibility to embrace and support change
- Organised with a structured and logical approach
- Strong team worker approach and able to adapt within the wider team as and when required.
