Company

International business in Swindon now seeks to appoint a recently qualified Commercial Accountant into their international finance team. The primary role will be to assist in the production of monthly Management Accounts, firm wide key performance Indicators,budgeting, VAT returns and other ad-hoc management reporting as well as supporting with year-end Statutory Accounts.

Role

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the Commercial Accountant will be responsible for a broad range of duties including statutory compliance, management reporting, maintenance of a strong internal control environment and business support. Specificallyyou will be responsible for the timely & accurate preparation of the monthly management accounts, related reporting and elements of the preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts. You will also ensure commercial and operational assumptions underpinningnew product and activation financials are realistic, and are aligned and owned by key stakeholders. Additional duties will include:

- Developing a strong understanding of the business, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, drive sales, improve margin and reduce costs
- Ad hoc and proactive analysis to influence decisions
- Analysing and making recommendations for investment which lead to operational efficiencies and drive sales/margin
