**Main Responsibilities**:

- Organising invoices for authorisation and liaising with staff to ensure invoices are signed off on a timely basis
- Support delivery of the purchase to pay process including processing of invoices
- Ensure payment of suppliers on time and responding to any queries or issues
- Basic knowledge of standard accounting activities; production of monthly reports,
accruals, prepayments, and performance analysis
- Production of profit and loss analysis on a month-on-month basis
- Under quality check of reports
- Assisting with compiling other ad hoc management and regulatory reports, supporting ad hoc finance tasks as required

**General Ledger Controls**:

- General ledger reconciliations
- Identify incorrect use of general ledgers daily; investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Supporting the Finance month end process
- Generating month end reports

**Key Result Areas**
- Experience reconciling accounting figures and financial records
- Ability to identify errors
- Appropriate handling of sensitive information
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Effective and up to date maintenance of vendor list
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong client relationship management and customer service skills
- Team player with the ability to work with multiple parties
- Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and Temenos
- Responsibility for analysing and internal accounts
- Monitoring the control framework in place to deliver accurate and timely internal
reporting information
- Documentation and update of purchase ledger procedures
- Identify, document and escalate and co-ordinate resolution of issues
- Prepare management reports, such as aged dashboards, and other management reports as needed for committees

**Skills and Capabilities**
- Strong numeracy, numerical reasoning, and numerical analysis skills.
- Financial Accounting experience
- Highly analytical with a structured and methodical approach to problem solving and able to translate and interpret large amounts of data.
- Strong ability to critically review and sense check data
- Strong, positive interpersonal skills and excellent written and oral communication skills
- Banking reconciliation experience preferred

**Qualifications**
- ACCA qualified/part-qualified

**IT Skills**
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- SQL - preferred
- T24 - preferred

Please ensure that you are willing and able to live within commutable distance of the Bank’s London Office, currently, Regina House 67 Cheapside, London EC2V 6AZ. Whilst the Bank supports a hybrid working, we expect all employees to be able to work in office at least 3 days per week.

Please also be aware this is a Fixed-Term contract.
