Overview:
Do you have a good understanding of sales and events? Are you excited at the chance of having the opportunity to work for IDC, a leading IT market research and consulting company?

Your job as an
**Event Coordinator** would be primarily to support the event manager in preparing all relevant materials for our conferences and senior level forums in the UK. You would be part of an already-established UK events team which has seen exceptional growth across all of our technology-related events.

**Responsibilities**:

- Delivering and full project management of executive dinners/senior level forums,
- Working to create and support event proposals,
- Building and updating micro-websites for each event - training given for software use (no computer programming experience required),
- Producing materials for each event - invitations, social media posts, event-specific banners, etc.,
- Performing general event tasks such as calendar invites, setting up speaker calls, etc.,
- Creating Sponsor Post Event Reports,
- Supporting the events onsite from a delivery perspective.

Qualifications:

- Have a previous background in events, or delegate sales (academical/internship/first job experience),
- Have high proficiency in spoken and written English,
- Be ambitious, a high potential sales/event professional who is seeking a challenging career opportunity with an international culture,
- Have a comprehensive understanding of events and the role it plays within vendor organizations,
- Have the capability to position technology events to prospective senior level delegates - including conversant with the “language” of senior business professionals,
- Be a collaborative team player with capability to also work autonomously, whilst taking initiative
- Skills in effective closing and objection handling
- Excellent Excel knowledge and general proficiency of MS Office.
