**Aims of Job/Job Purpose**
At South and City College Birmingham we have a great opportunity for a motivated individual to work as part of the HR Operations Team, to provide professional, high-quality, and timely customer service to departments and faculties within the college.
With previous HR experience you will provide line management and will manage the workload of the administration team to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively by the required deadlines to ensure the data is accurately input, maintained and kept up to date.
You will also provide general HR guidance to employees on employment-related issues such as recruitment and on boarding, employment terms and conditions, attendance management, and payroll.
**Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities**
Supervising the workload and performance of the HR Administration Team.
Provide support to the HR Administration Team to ensure that day-to-day HR tasks are carried out in an organised timely manner and to monitor work to meet deadlines.
Checking recruitment information provided by managers at the job requisition stage to ensure completeness and accuracy. Collate this information for review by the Strategic Leadership Team (SLT).
Assisting with the administration of pre-employment checking, recording and monitoring in accordance with the College’s recruitment and selection procedures and statutory obligations.
Facilitate and collate all necessary DBS information for enhanced DBS checks and ensure ongoing review of data.
Accountability for maintaining the Single Central Register to ensure it is kept up to date and accurate at all times.
Maintenance and updating of HR system (ITRENT), trackers and the creation and maintenance of HR records to include setting up new starter’s files ensuring auditable documents are in place, security and confidentiality of the data is maintained and complies with legislative requirements.
Support HR project work, as may be required from time to time.
Assist with and participate in HR team meetings and attendance at operational/designated area meetings as appropriate.
Building strong lasting relationships with the business and delivering an exceptional service.
Carry out any additional duties commensurate with the level and grading of this post, as well any reasonable instructions or request by the HR Director(s), and Senior Leadership Team.
**Other Duties and Responsibilities**
a) Comply with internal and external quality standards and contribute to the College’s strategic aims.
b) Comply with college policies and procedures and health and safety regulations.
c) Support the safeguarding and promotion of students’ welfare.
d) Maintain confidentiality in relation to all College information and to comply with Data Protection
e) Legislation.
f) Participate in the College’s Appraisal scheme and undertake any training as required.
g) Support and actively participate in the implementation of the College’s Equal Opportunity policies.

**Salary**: £26,149.00-£28,747.00 per year
