**MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR - ASPHALT & AGGREGATES - ROTHERHAM - COMPETITIVE BASIC SALARY & PACKAGE**

Maintenance Supervisor required for our client who are leading provider of Asphalt and Aggregates.

Our client has been developing and manufacturing high performance asphalt products for the UK roadmaking industry since the 1960's. Based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, our client is ideally located to source slag cost-effectively from the surrounding steelindustry - a sustainable way of making asphalt since at least 95% of the product is recycled

They now require a Maintenance Supervisor to work from their Rotherham location.

**THE ROLE**
- As a Maintenance Supervisor your role will be the supervision of Maintenance personnel who are responsible for maintaining both mobile and fixed plant to agreed standards.
- Managing working in a safe manner following agreed work instructions. Customer focus is also of paramount importance
- Working as a part of a team, excellent communication and teamwork skills are critical to facilitate the efficient operation of the maintenance function as is the accurate capture and reporting of information regarding maintenance activities
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities according to a defined shift plan, following the safe working procedure (work instruction) for the task
- Use the right parts, equipment and PPE for the task and adopt a ‘right first time’ approach to all activities
- Follow the work order to ensure that all work is completed and checked prior to re commissioning the asset
- Accurately capture and record all work done including time taken, parts used, and asset worked on
- Return all unused/repairable parts to the stores
- Complete all necessary paperwork supporting the work performed and submit on a timely basis to the supervisor/workshop administrator
- Working from our client Rotherham plant

**THE PERSON**
- The successful Maintenance Supervisor MUST have similar experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in their specialized field in a large mobile and fixed plant environment as a mechanical engineer (fitter)
- Previous first line management experience
- Have a proven experience of carrying out maintenance activities preferably in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Be able to diagnose process faults and identify appropriate repairs.
- Be able to perform maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s recommendations and manuals with a focus on maintaining safety and maximizing production:

- Previous experience in conducting and adherence to both preventative and reactive maintenance activities
- Previous OEM (main dealer experience) in the repair and maintenance of heavy mobile equipment.
- Driving license (ideally clean)
