We are looking for a Works Operative to produce relevant products to procedure and/or drawings in an efficient and timely manner, setting the highest standards of quality and workmanship.
Primarily based in the Bristol Production team, you are reporting to the relevant Cell Supervisor. The role is to work as a key member of a team ensuring the timely manufacture of products. The role is governed by procedures (and drawings) of both assembly process and test. The greatest challenge for the job holder is to repetitively build a high quality product, which satisfies our customers, while ensuring that manufacturing targets are achieved. As required the jobholder will carry out any other tasks or duties that is needed by the department of business.
**Main Duties of the **Works Operative**
- Productivity - Produce the products by supervisor or a ‘work-to-list’ in an efficent and productive manner, ensuring that any rework or lost time is minimised and recovered and that constructive feedback/corrective actions initiated.
- Quality - Produce a consistently high quality product following all relevant assembly procedures and test procedures. Highlight any product defects however they arise to supervision and ensure that constructive feedback/corrective actions are initiated.
- Teamwork - Play an active leading role in the team you are working in and contribute significantly to relevant improvement initiatives. Develop through teamwork and ensure adherence to required health and safety, highlighting any concerns and none conformity.
- Training - Play an active role in the training of others. Develop through training to improve the outputs of manufacturing, (on time delivery, higher quality, and reduced cost).
**Skills and Experience required for the **Works Operative**
- Experience of working within a manufacturing environment for at least five years.
- Excellent team skills.
- Excellent manual dexterity.
- Ability to train others.
