**Hours**: Shifts are 8 hours (8:15-16:45) - Amount offered is variable based on your shared availability/client workload over a 7-day week

**Rate**: Hourly rate is the current minimum/living wage (depending on age)

**Location**: Thames Valley Park, Reading (Office-Based)

**Start**: ASAP

Our client, based in Thames Valley Park, just outside Reading, has a constant requirement for temporary workers to test video games prior to release. We are seeking to increase our pool of temps for this role.

This an entirely office-based role as much of the client's work is confidential and must be carried out in a secure lab. As the workload is flexible, there are no guaranteed shifts with this project and you must live within a 1-hour travel time of the officeto allow for last minute changes.

If you do well at the role it is possible to be offered shifts on a regular basis for this position.

Duties include:

- Following test steps to ensure product meet required standard for release and investigating observed behaviour.
- Writing reports and communicating test results accurately.
- Escalating issues as appropriate.

What we are looking for:

- Excellent communication, attention to detail, time management and organisation.
- Ability to work as part of team with a positive, pro-active attitude.
- IT competence, predominantly MS Excel and Word.
- Flexibility.
- Interest in video games and game development.

Requirements for the role:

- Must be over 18 due to age-rating restrictions of the products tested.
- Must be available to work weekends occasionally.
- Must have experience of playing video games. This knowledge is vital for the role.
- Must be based within 1 hour's commute of the work location.

Please note:

- You must have access to a dual-analog stick controller to be assessed for this role. You can borrow one if you do not own one, but we will need to witness you using one before we can add you to the pool for this role.
- If successful, you will be added to a pool of temps who are resourced for this role rather than placed into a specific assignment.
- You will not be required to accept any offered shifts, but are you not guaranteed to be offered any either.
- Shifts will be offered to you as and when available inline with the availability you share, your current level of training and performance feedback.
