Due to continued expansion we at Dundas Chemical Company Ltd are currently recruiting for a couple of Petfood Process Operators at our busy site in Dumfries.

You will be responsible for taking delivery of raw materials, sorting and processing of raw materials, ensuring product is stored appropriately and finally product is loaded onto customers vehicles.

The positions will involve working alternate weeks of 36 hours / 48 hours on a continental shift pattern 6am - 6pm and 8am-8pm.

**Responsibilities and Duties will include**:

- Taking delivery of incoming goods from suppliers ensuring goods are received in good condition, to specification and as per delivery note.
- On receipt of incoming goods ensure goods are stored appropriately.
- Utilising forklifts to load/unload goods onto vehicles and transport product throughout the production processes.
- Ensure high levels of housekeeping and hygiene are maintained.
- Ensuring health and safety compliance.
- Position is a hands-on position which requires a degree of physical fitness.
- Through time build an extensive knowledge of products.
- Develop working relationship within teams.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Ability to establish and maintain good relationships within teams.
- Ability to utilise initiative.
- Good working knowledge of health and safety.
- Forklift experience is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.

**Benefits**:
In return, we offer an attractive remuneration package. £12.01 per hour, overtime at x 1.5, long weekend every other weekend, Company Pension and Health Plan.
