**VENUE SERVICES TEAM**

Venue Services is responsible for the maintenance, setup and breakdown of all events at Silverstone. We look after an area of 400+ acres including all onsite buildings, the famous pits and paddocks, 4x4 course and rally stage. We provide vital support on all events ranging from conferences in the International Business and Conference Centre right through to the Formula 1 British Grand Prix

We implement essential changes to the circuit in relation to safety regulations from the FIA or FIM governing bodies, as well as handling day-to-day operations of any activity at the venue. And, we manage the private network of mains water and power usage/consumption onsite. Full training will be provided for operating machinery such as forklifts, telehandlers, MEWPs and 180 or 360 excavators.

**JOB PURPOSE**

Support the Maintenance coordinator in delivering all set tasks to provide a high-end service to the clients, guests, and customers. This is an integral role that works across all departments across the complete site to ensure the success of the Silverstone Team, enabling the experience and expectations of the clients, guests, and customers.

The Maintenance Team is paramount in enabling the Silverstone team to become a Nationally recognised, family-focused, and financially successful leisure destination with motorsport at heart.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Supports the Team in maintaining buildings and equipment to the exacting standards expected at a world-class venue.

Supporting the maintenance team in day-to-day response and planned maintenance, refurbishment tasks and repairs.

Assist in preparing the venue to the highest standard to host large sporting events.

To be responsible for allocated maintenance tasks from start to completion, including scoping the job, pricing, ordering materials, consulting with the customer, undertaking the work personally or coordinating and supervising others to ensure its timely completion.

To respond promptly and flexibly to urgent or last-minute staff/service requirements.

Be available to work on events, including weekends, evenings, and Bank Holidays.

To perform other duties as required by the Maintenance coordinator or Estates & Utility manager.

Best practice for driving company vehicles around various locations on-site.

Ensure your daily supervisor signs off all tasks and that you are aware of daily safety changes to the site.

Assist with ‘Live’events operating in the background, assisting where required.

Asset control of equipment within the maintenance department, operating an accountability system.

Reporting procedure for equipment failure, damages and missing equipment, informing the Maintenance coordinator or Estates & Utility manager on discovering your findings.

**PPE / Risk Assessments**
- Understanding of Risk Assessments and working safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of using the correct PPE for the required task.
- Understand the PUWER & LOLER Regulations.

**TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To work as part of the team to develop and mentor others and to support workloads to ensure the commercial and operational success of the events.
- Create a positive, proactive culture and environment within the department.
- Promote at all times the professional image of the company by ensuring high standards of both professionalism and personal presentation.

**PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES**

Performance will be monitored against the following:

- Objectives set through the Personal Development Review (PDR) process
- Ownership and completion of agreed business priorities in a timely manner

**KEY RELATIONSHIPS**

Venue Team, Health & Safety, Security, Corporate & Public Events Team, Catering Team, 3rd Party Venue Users, Contractors

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Effective communication skills.
- Polite, empathetic, and customer focused.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Pride and excellent diligence in your work.
- Ability to be initiative-taking and think ahead during busy periods.
- “Carpentry” Skill Set Essential.
- ‘Hands-On’ role of Power tools and Manual tools Essential.
- A flexible approach to working and irregular hours, including weekends and evenings.
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Understanding of the Health and Safety of your role.
