**About us**

Avencia Consulting are recruiting on behalf of a global Insurance & Reinsurance client in the City, who are looking to hire a Finance Systems Support Specialist on a permanent basis.

**The role**

Permanent opportunity for a Finance Systems Support Specialist to provide CODA technical support and change across finance. This role will report to the Finance Systems Support Manager. The role will be working closely alongside the finance systems supportteam, change team and finance stakeholders.

**Key accountabilities**
- Provide day to day support and guidance as a Coda SME
- Assist with complex CODA support activities
- Review Coda change requests and complete Impact Assessments
- Maintaining strong governance and controls on CODA processes and data flow
- Provide guidance on upstream and downstream CODA data
- liaise with stakeholders daily
- Championing continuous CODA improvements
- Own and coordinate changes to the CODA Finance Project Environment
- Use SQL skills to troubleshoot and assist the wider team with SQL queries
- Become a SME for the Finance Development Cube (FDC - Sql MI Cube)
- Review FDC and recommended improvements
- Review GL reporting requirements
- Support a number of Alteryx models which are linked to CODA data
- Continually review and update procedures and support documentation
- Complete/control change systems testing
- Provide support on other Finance Systems, as required

**Skills & experience**
- Experienced in using general ledger systems, preferably in insurance but not essential
- Part Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
- SQL Query experience is required
- An understanding of Sql Server Analysis Services
- Experience in the insurance sector is preferred
- Alteryx experience would be a plus
- Tableau experience would be a plus
- Excellent organisational skills, particularly planning and management skills,
- Excellent people management skills to deliver the best from your direct reports,
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to relay information clearly and concisely in both written and verbal communications
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships,
- Attention to detail
- An understanding of Finance data, systems, and processes,
- The ability to work in a fast paced, time sensitive environment where meeting tight deadlines is critical, and ability to work independently and as well as part of a team
