**Position Title : Workshop Supervisor**

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Workshop Supervisor to join our industry leading team.

This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis, return for a highly competitive salary.

This is a great role for an experienced, multi tasker, who can balance the management of our busy

Systems Department alongside the design (when required for bespoke units) and build of control

panels/systems and sub-assemblies.

**Job Overview**

All aspects relating to the build, repair and maintenance of control systems and all assemblies

(Bosch included) undertaken by the Systems Division within parameters set for individual

members of the department.

This role also incorporates the supervision of the Team members, to give assistance and guidance

where required from both a design and technical aspect. This covers the responsibility of the

workshop equipment and tools, additions and replacements when required or requested.

It is expected that the supervisory aspect of this role will be 20 to 25% of the time, the remaining

time in production.

**Primary Objectives**
- Undertake the layout design (when required for bespoke units) & build of control panels /

systems & sub assemblies.
- Undertake the testing of sub-assemblies & control systems.
- Allocation of work to other Team members as dictated by production schedules.
- Responsibility for the quality control and inspection of all work under the direction of the

Engineering Manager.
- Liaise directly with the Engineering Manager on all workshop matters. This includes design,

specification, parts and equipment requirements.
- Undertake working with a Engineers as may be required for the installation of control

systems.
- Undertake working with a Engineers as may be required for the Commissioning of control

systems.
- Undertake general maintenance and housekeeping duties to ensure a tidy and safe working

environment.

specification.
- Ensure that the day-to-day running of the workshop facilities and workshop office are

maintained within accepted limits.

- Must have experience in an engineering environment (Mechanical)
- Must be fully conversant and competent in marking out and the use of hand tools.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering and manufacturers drawings would be a

distinct advantage.
- Must be willing to undertake training as required to meet job requirements
