Management Accountant

Trinity House Group are exclusively recruiting a Management Accountant for a global manufacturing business based in Leicester. The business produces the highest quality cutting edge products for ever growing clients.
You will work closely with the Financial Controller who is an outstanding line manager and keen to support your continued career progression.
The business is continuously evolving making the environment dynamic for continuous improvement. You’ll be responsible for producing the management accounts and all associated processes as well partnering the Operations teams to provide commercial analysisto maximise profitability and support multiple highly visible projects.
**The role**:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and detailed financial forecasts in readiness for Group submission including basic journal posting; balance sheet reconciliations and preparation of P&L / balance sheet / cash flow.
- Support the ongoing development of the rolling monthly forecasting process and quarterly Group forecasting process to ensure high quality information is delivered on time. Ensure deliverables and responsibilities are clearly understood.
- Inventory controls from valuation through to typical movements of inventory such as; Goods Receipt through to WIP, Despatch and Scrappage.
- Produce in depth, challenging and competent financial analysis and support to the business covering aspects such as inventory; provisions; labour absorption; project & cost accounting.
- Seek to continuously improve accounting activities and controls/ processes for the business implementing agreed improvements.
- Review; improve and design accounting and related system reports and processes for accuracy and completeness
- Support the development of junior members of the finance team to ensure the teams future succession plan.
- Act as a key contact and liaison with external audit teams, producing the relevant work papers and analysis to support on the statutory accounts and tax pack preparation.
- Preparation and review of project margins. Ability to interpret this data and deduce key findings to drive a business wide lesson learnt process and business improvements.

- A fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail with a high accuracy level and ability to meet fixed deadlines and achieve results.
- Confidence to challenge opinions and challenge the business data. This will involve working with cross departmental teams and ensuring the accuracy of the available data to competently challenge the business.
