The Private Rented Sector service source accommodation as a resolution to end the applicant's homeless journey. The Business Support Officer Level 2 will work in a busy team, managing a varied caseload, ensuring landlords are paid in a timely manner.
The role will involve supporting the Management Team to resolve payment queries and will attend meetings with landlords / letting agents alongside management to provide a detailed breakdown of payments made. The role holder will be required to work with a variety of service users, both face to face and over the telephone.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage the PRS payment inbox
- Data work and checking for accuracy in relation to payment and landlord data
- Prepare data for managers
- Manage payment tracker
- Responsible to order stationary as required
The role will involve supporting the Management Team to resolve payment queries and will attend meetings with landlords / letting agents alongside management to provide a detailed breakdown of payments made. The role holder will be required to work with a variety of service users, both face to face and over the telephone.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, accurately and in ways that promote understanding.
- Analytical: Ability to present information using simple descriptive statistics; mathematical averages, percentages, appropriate tables and charts.
- Planning and Organising: Demonstrate the ability to organize multiple tasks in the most effective way, and allocate time and energy according to task complexity and priority.
- Problem Solving and Decision Making: Is able to make effective decisions on a day-to-day basis, taking ownership of decisions, demonstrating sound judgement in escalating issues where necessary, be logical in thinking and explain reasoning behind decisions or actions taken.
- ICT Skills: Skills to use ICT systems to obtain and analyse data and present it effectively through a variety of ICT channels.
- Administrative Skills: Ability to develop and maintain effective administration systems in a rapidly changing environment.
