Product Owner

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Product Owner with a strong focus on APIs and expertise in Agile methodology to join a dynamic team. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for defining and prioritising features, managing the product backlog, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Your role will be instrumental in driving the successful delivery of our dispute resolution products and API integration strategy.
**Responsibilities**:
- Ownership and management of product backlogs based on business value, technical feasibility, and user impact.
- Gathering and analysing customer needs, market trends, and business requirements to identify valuable features.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, including development teams, architects, designers, and business representatives, to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.
- Working closely with development teams, and other stakeholders to implement Agile practices and methodologies.
- Participating in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.
- Collaborating with the development team to define user stories, and acceptance criteria, and prioritise work for each sprint.
- Provide clear and concise product requirements and ensure alignment with the product vision.
- Tracking and communicating progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders, addressing any obstacles to successful product delivery.
- Fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the development team.
- Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, such as customers, partners, and vendors, to gather feedback and validate API solutions.
- Conducting user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to understand user needs and incorporate them into the product backlog.
- Communicating product updates, releases, and changes to stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding and alignment.
**What are we looking for?**
- Proven experience as a Product Owner or similar role, experience in an API-focused environment is a big plus.
- Strong understanding of API concepts, technologies, and best practices.
- Solid knowledge and practical experience with Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.
- Familiarity with software development processes and tools, such as JIRA or similar project management software.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proactive and self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Knowledge of API security, documentation, and testing frameworks is a plus.
**Salary**: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
