You will be a key advisor to managers to influence a focus on people issues and enable the delivery of pragmatic people solutions that address risk and enhance performance, and help to achieve business outcomes. Using your knowledge of employment law and HR experience to date, you will provide HR support to the delivery of a customer focused, professional, HR Service to one or more of the Council Directorates. You will be well used to working collaboratively with a knowledgeable and professional HR and OD team, who at Lancaster City Council all support each other and work together to deliver a high-class service. Working with HRBP’s you will support and advise managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management, TUPE and restructures. Importantly you will also be able to produce and interpret key workforce data to provide an evidence-base for HR Business Partners and directorate management teams.
The posts are permanent. The hours of work are 37 per week, working Monday to Friday. The role is hybrid, with a combination of attendance at onsite and online meetings, bookable workspaces and working from home. Meetings may be in Lancaster, Morecambe or elsewhere in the District and County. Your assumed place of work will be Lancaster City Centre.
The Council currently operates an excellent Flexible Working Hours Scheme which applies to this post. Subject to the needs of the business, this may allow employees to work between the hours of 6:00am-10:30pm and take flexi days in addition to a generous annual leave allocation.

Lancaster City Council has unanimously declared a climate emergency and will therefore work towards reducing carbon emissions to net-zero by 2030. As part of this role, you will be expected to participate and work towards reducing both carbon emissions and the impacts of climate change.
**Salary**: £24,920.00-£30,095.00 per year
