**Job description**: The objective of this role is to actively grow the visitor experience at Creswell Crags, working within the developing Catering Strategy. This remit will include being responsible for preparing, serving and promoting the cafe products and enhancing the visitor experience. We also anticipate an increase in visitor numbers & a new EPOS systems will be a key focus of Creswell Heritage Trust in 2021 onwards, and this role will be a key part of that. This post will therefore offer the holder a chance to make a mark at a crucial time in the Trust’s story.

**Key responsibilities**:

- Working with
- The Commercial & Visitor Services Manager, Visitor Services Officer and the Cafe team to create and maintain an inspiring layout and visual displays.
- The Marketing & Events Officer and the Commercial & Visitor Services team members to promote the commercial offer of the organisation: on site and online retail, café, ticket sales in order to generate income.
- The Finance & Bookings Assistant, Commercial & Visitor Services team and the Learning team to ensure needs are met for school visits & other activities, to ensure that any specific requirements/requests of the visiting group are identified and acted upon and to maximise visitor engagement and income generation.
- The Cafe Supervisor to increase income and deliver a high quality of visitor satisfaction. To plan displays and menus, special offers, managing stock levels, and staff rotas.
- The Finance & HR Manager and Finance & Bookings Assistant regarding the stock-taking and daily sales.
- The Fundraising & Community Engagement Officer to engage volunteers and develop volunteers’ experience.
- The wider team to develop their understanding of our charitable message to create advocates for the Trust across the organisation; to promote individual giving onsite and online, and boost gift aid in the purchase of cave tours and exhibition admission.
- The wider team to develop the creative vision for seasonal events.

- **Responsible fo**r:

- Ensuring Health & Safety regulations, including food hygiene are adhered to.
- Ensuring the visitor experience is maintained to a high standard and dealing with any customer enquiries and complaints promptly and minimize any further issues.
- The selling of cafe products, serving and clearing tables, ensuring waste is disposed of appropriately.
- The merchandising of displays, ensuring stock is presented in a clean and tidy manner.
- Preparing and serving food and drinks ensuring consistency and maintaining a high quality.
- Undertaking cleaning duties (of shelves, stock, equipment etc) as directed by the Cafe Supervisor, ensuring compliance with cleaning schedules.
