**Royal Voluntary Service **has an opportunity available for a** SEO Assistant **to join our team.** **You will join us on a **full-time**, **permanent funded basis **and in return, you will receive a salary of** £22,861 - £24,385 per annum**

The role is homebased with occasional National travel

**About the SEO Assistant role**:
SEO - Researching, implementing and monitoring of SEO across all VVH platforms: Facebook, Website, YouTube, Instagram and TikTok. Priority to optimise YouTube to increase organic growth and viewership of current sessions and implement necessary ongoing adjustments to keywords within session copy to help achieve overall growth of the platforms.

Video optimisation - Implementing best practice on all of our sessions across all platforms to achieve maximum visibility of sessions and improve search engine ranking of sessions listed on YouTube and our website.

Website updating - weekly updating of the website with new content and special events and any necessary featured events or announcements. Ensuring all webpages are fully optimised and writing meta descriptions, page titles and other key on-page features.

Social media - Running of live and pre-recorded session typically 1 day per week and when needed for cover, pushing the tutors live, responding to comments, managing interactions, and proactively flagging any safeguarding issues with manager. Utilising StatusBrew - to check comments, respond to public comments and manage unwanted or controversial comments. Timely and sensitive response to private messages to VVH messenger. Edit Live video sessions where needed, adding session relevant tags, playlist destination, tutor tags/ and any session still photos. Manage playlists within YouTube. Share content across relevant pages/platforms.

Monitoring and analysis - regular analysis and reporting of organic search traffic, track keywords and adjust SEO strategies accordingly. Using the data to guide improvements and recommendations to the team for ongoing best practice

Technology - good knowledge and experience of social media platforms. Provide feedback to assist in plans and developments to grow and continuously improve the Virtual Village Hall. Requirement for professional development to keep up to date in a fast-moving environment, taking direction from the Social Media Officer.

Communication - ensure that all communication matches to the consistent tone of voice for all of the Virtual Village Hall platforms. Communicate clearly, timely and empathetically with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders including vulnerable service users, specialist tutors, volunteers and staff.

Content and tutors - Provide recommendations for new content based on analysis of feedback, engagement and keeping up to date with trends and environmental changes.

**Hours**: 35 hours Monday to Friday

**What you'll bring as our** **SEO Assistant**:
Knowledge

Excellent knowledge and direct experience of SEO across multiple platforms in particular YouTube and also Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & X.

Knowledge of a fast-moving and evolving digital environment with knowledge of social media marketing & engagement

Understanding of social media consumers and potential perception from the public.

Understanding of community engagement and development

An awareness of safeguarding (adults and children)

**Skills**:
Experience of using SEO to drive growth on multiple social media platforms

Experience of writing effective copy for social media platforms.

Experience of Facebook Live Producer and third-party streaming platforms such as StreamYard

Experience of using Google analytics and webmaster tools

Excellent communication ability at all levels.

Excellent level of numeracy and literacy.

Ability to use a range of IT systems on a daily basis.

Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and confidently troubleshoot.

Ability to build positive and effective relationships and partnerships both internally and externally.
