**JOB SUMMARY**:
This is a permanent post responsible working as part of the pre-operative assessment (POA) administrative team on reception to greet patients attending appointments and answer both patient and staff queries regarding the POA process, including the use of our new online self-completed questionnaire, MyPreOp.
The post-holder will need to be able to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and to identify when and how to escalate patient queries to the right administrator or clinician. They will receive training and access to MyPreOp and will be required to ensure the system is up to date following clinics, scan and upload information to and from the system and ensuring information is correct and accessible across MyPreOp, ICS PAS and ePRO. The role will also involve liaising with patients to book investigation clinic and nurse review clinic appointments, answering patient appointment queries, accessing letters and documents from other hospitals, GPs or patients as indicated by the nurse.
Other duties include general filing, answering the telephones, logging information as requested and any other duties when required. Computer literacy, customer service, organization and communication skills are essential.
