**Responsibilities**:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Work closely with the class teacher to support students with SEN needs in the classroom, providing a nurturing and inclusive environment
- Assist in planning and delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of our students, promoting a love of learning and academic achievement
- Provide individualised support to students with SEN needs, including those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Develop strong relationships with students, parents, and staff, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment
- Continuously assess and monitor student progress, implementing interventions and adaptations as required to meet individual learning needs
- Participate in ongoing professional development, staying current with best practices in SEN education.
**Requirements**:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A relevant qualification in SEN education or equivalent experience
- A commitment to inclusive education and an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities presented by working in an SEN school
- Experience working with children with SEN needs or a strong willingness to learn and adapt your practice
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and resilient attitude, with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic environment
