Inventory Controller

**General Purpose**:
To assist the Operations team, and ensure all products are prepared and ready for despatch to customers.

**Duties include**:

- Providing production support, again as required to other departments
- Working a flexible schedule to keep up with production demand during busy production periods
- Keeping the machines and work area clean and tidy during the shift
- Working cordially with team members
- Meeting production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity and quality
- Paying constant attention to surroundings to reduce accidents and injuries
- Any additional tasks that fall within your competency as directed by supervisors/managers

**Essential skills required**:

- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to work as part of a team
- Flexible approach to duties and tasks
- Readily accepts responsibility and ownership.
- Organized, Punctual and Influential.
- Able to work upon direction or autonomously.

**Desirable**:

- Full training will be given but experience in a stores & manufacturing environment would be beneficial
- Knowledge of kanban / pull systems / VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) and Consignment Stock
- MRP, MRPII or ERP experience.
- Forklift truck licence
- An engineering or technical background.

**Education and Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- IT/Computer literacy - MS Office Suite, to intermediate level.
- Educated to GCE/GCSE or equivalent

**Desirable**:

- Lean / Continuous Improvement Techniques
