Mercure Dumfries Cargenholm House Hotel’s striking design is inspired by former resident who was a British Naval Officer renowned for making many important discoveries during his Antarctic voyage. Contemporary design elements throughout the property are inspired by this expedition in a way that evokes curiosity among guests to learn more about the fascinating history behind the building.

A Guest Services Supervisor, must oversee the running of a shift and ensure that the guest service assistants are managing their task lists accordingly. A Supervisor will be responsible for supporting their line manager within the departments of food and beverage, and reception, with a particular focus on food and beverage.

**Role in our Family**:
Key responsibilities to your role:

- Oversee the service of all food & beverages within the hotel in absence of the F&B Manager.
- Work Duty Manager shifts as and when required.
- To monitor shift procedures, ensuring checklists are completed in the correct manner
- To ensure that all monies are kept in a safe and secure area adopting the hotels cash handling procedures
- To be proactive in generating sales and referring sales leads as well as upselling products and services where possible (for example, breakfast / dinner)
- To operate the bar and restaurant to the agreed hotel standards include brand standards
- Ensuring the set up of the restaurant and bar for mealtimes
- To maintain the reception, food and beverage outlets, public areas, stores, back office and staff areas in a clean and tidy condition.
