**ICM In-Business Quality Assurance - Chief of Staff VP - C13**:
Institutional Credit Management’s (“ICM”) objective is to provide an integrated “end-to-end” credit underwriting, identification, measurement, management, monitoring, and reporting for wholesale credit businesses across the enterprise. Institutional Client Group (ICG) In-Business Quality Assurance is an integral part of the ICM organization.

The ICG In-Business Quality Assurance function (QA) verifies that established standards and processes are followed and consistently applied. ICG Management uses the results of the quality assurance reviews to assess the quality of the group's policies, procedures, programs, and practices as relates to the management of wholesale credit risk. The results help management identify operational weaknesses, risks associated with the function, training needs, and process deficiencies.

The ICM Head of In-Business Quality Assurance reports results of Quality Assurance Reviews (QARs) to management of the respective ICG business area, Independent Risk, and critical partner stakeholders and regulators.

This role reports directly to the Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) In-Business Quality Assurance Chief for WCR and serves to enhance the operating efficiency and effectiveness of the IBQA program.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Support in providing strategic direction from planning to execution for IBQA business needs with effectiveness, efficiency, and value-add, while aligning to overall ICM and firm-wide goals.
- Enable monitoring of team management’s progress on decisions and actions emerging from key initiatives and routine deliverables across the team (i.e., regulatory deliverables, tracking of Corrective Action Plans, goals) and ensuring critical matters are identified and escalated.
- Help drive development and scrutiny of management information that is used to oversee and manage IBQA risks.
- Facilitate the development of IBQA MCA (Manager’s Control Assessment) program, liaising with ICM partners in establishing an effective control environment and risk & control culture.
Support the annual budget preparation process, determining the hiring plan and training requirements.
- Liaise with and support the project management team involved with transformation and regulatory remediation work as required.
- Provide support on process improvement initiatives and special projects.
- Promote knowledge sharing and innovation; promulgate best practices across IBQA.
- Help drive technology solutions to support IBQA activities
- Stay abreast of relevant changes to rules/regulations and other industry news including regulatory findings.
- Help to provide ongoing and timely feedback and coaching of ICG Quality Assurance staff to sustain a strong control culture and an unwavering commitment to excellence in execution
- Support the Global Head of WCR IBQA on internal projects and initiatives
- Support WCR IBQA Voice of the Employee (VOE) as well as diversity and inclusion initiatives
- Travel (less than 10%)
**Skills/Competencies**:
Knowledge:

- Preferable to have demonstratable quality control / quality assurance experience, including 5-7 years in banking, credit risk management, internal audit, loan review or quality assurance review function at an investment or large commercial bank.
- Previous experience working with senior management preferable.
- Understanding of risk management and control frameworks obtained through experience in large financial organizations.
- Knowledge of Wholesale Credit Processes and organizational awareness, covered portfolios, and processes
- Understanding of QA policies and procedures with the ability to execute change seamlessly
- Grasp of issues identification, documentation, and remediation within the Quality Assurance process and delivering results to senior internal and external stakeholders, under tight deadlines and potentially multiple competing priorities.
- Awareness and adherence to the control environment including Quality Assurance and Quality Control

- Strategic orientation to ensure the ICM organization continues to be positioned as a thoughtful and proactive partner on driving best practices to support safety and soundness within ICM and Citi
