My client is a **scale up company** in the **Big Data Analytics, Machine Learning and ETL** space, providing leading software solutions to their esteemed list of clients. Starting up around seven years ago, they have built a **client base with some of the biggest names in Telecoms** - Telefonica, Vodafone etc - and plan to expand beyond the Telecoms into other rapidly growing industries, providing their product to other industry leading companies.

They are now looking for a **Solutions Architect** presenting a fantastic opportunity to an individual who is highly motivated and keen to work in team / company that wants to progress, develop and expand rapidly. You will be working **mostly remotely**, with occasional visits to their offices in Guilford.

**Essential requirements**:

- BSc in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or something of the equivalent
- At least 5 years' commercial experience in a Solution / Technical Architect role, with preferably some exposure to Telco
- Solid knowledge and experience of ETL, Data Integration and Data Warehousing concepts
- Demonstrable experience of leading and delivering large complex projects covering a range of technologies, domains and functions
- Experience of developing and maintaining architectural and design documentation (HLD, LLD, etc)
- Extensive experience of requirements analysis and development of these into technical solutions

**Desirable but not essential**:

- Understanding of data science, machine learning and AI concepts
- Experience of delivering projects in on-Premise and Cloud environments
- Knowledge of containerisation technologies (eg Kubernetes, Docker)
- Knowledge of some or all of the following technologies - Hadoop, Kafka, MapReduce, Hive, Redis, MongoDB, Elastic
- Knowledge of RDBMS and NoSQL architectures and platforms
- Experience of data visualisation tools (eg Kibana, Tableau)
- TCP/P and networking knowledge
- Development experience (eg Python, Spark, Java, R, SQL etc)
