We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, covering night shifts from 7:30 PM to 7:30 AM. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the night. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for those in your care.

If you are an experienced carer, we invite you to join the team at Hawthorn Court. Located in a peaceful residential area a few miles from Swansea’s city centre, our 22-bed residential care home supports older adults, including those with dementia, with personal care and accommodation.

Key Responsibilities

As a Night Shift Care Assistant, you will:

- Provide person-centred care that promotes independence and dignity for our residents.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Offer emotional support and companionship, creating a calm and comforting environment throughout the night.
- Follow individualised care plans, noting any changes in residents’ well-being.
- Contribute to a safe, warm, and welcoming environment for all.

**Qualifications**:

- **Experience**: Prior experience in a care home setting is ideal
- **Education**: NVQ or QCF Level 2 (or willingness to complete this).
- **Skills**: Strong communication, empathy, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

You will be working 24 hours a week over 2 nights. We care for our residents everyday of the year, as such you will be expected to work weekends and on Public Holidays as per the rota.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
