Senior Care Assistants (Days Shift)
Due to internal promotion Trentham House Care Home is seeking to recruit 2 x experienced Senior Care staff with a minimum of two years experience working in Social Care, we are looking for caring and compassionate individuals to join our team and provide care and support to residents living within our large prestigious nursing home based in Trentham
The successful applicant will be contracted to weekly hours, full time and part time night shift positions and be available over a 7 day working rota 8.00am-8.00pm Days
**We are currently offering a £500 welcome bonus to all new starters, also a £500 reefer a friend scheme**
**Enhanced rates of pay for applicants who are NVQ Level 2 or NVQ Level 3 qualified in Health & Social Care**
Pay rates: (age 23 and over) £9.90, and with NVQ Level 3: £10.75
**Overview of what the home provides**:
- Care for residents who have an illness or medical condition requiring frequent medical attention supervised day and night by registered nurses
- Specialist care and support for residents who have been diagnosed with dementia at various stages
- Care and support to elderly residents within a residential setting
- End of life care, treatment and support for residents and families
**Your role and responsibilities**:
The role of a Senior Care Assistant is to give direct patient care as directed by a trained nurse and support the resident in his/her plan of care, also to direct your team on the unit.
**Duties will include**:
- Assist residents with all aspects of personal care e.g. washing, dressing, toileting etc
- Act as a mentor to all new Care Assistants
- Ensure Moving and Handling guidelines are followed
- Assist residents with mobility - including hoisting
- Assist residents with eating and drinking, communication and joining in social activities
- Assist nurses with preparation of a resident for treatment
- Complete all documentation as requested by the unit manager/nurse
- Maintain a clean and safe environment within the nursing home
