Bon Coeur Fine Wines is one of the UK’s leading independent wine merchants, with a strong following amongst trade, corporate and high-end private customers.

Our wine list has tremendous depth, from everyday drinking wines, champagne and port, to fine specialist wines. Family-run and with 22 staff, we operate from a state-of-the-art office, warehousing and hospitality complex in North Yorkshire.

Job type: Full time - 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, 1 Saturday at month (40 hrs)

**Salary**: £21,000 to £24,000 depending on age & experience

This role would suit a school/college leaver with aspirations to develop themselves in a friendly, motivated team.

As Warehouse Assistant reporting to our Warehouse Manager, you’ll help to prepare and load vehicles for deliveries. The Warehouse Assistant will also be responsible for completing customer delivery notes, in addition to helping in the warehouse with picking, packing and stocktaking.

**Other key duties include**:
Offloading and checking pallets.

Preparing parcels/orders for dispatch with our couriers.

Assisting with stock checks, including weekly bin location checks, and bi-annual full stock checks.

Cleaning and maintaining vehicles (checking levels, tyre pressures etc.)

General warehouse maintenance, cleaning and some admin.

With a full, clean driving licence, forklift licence desirable. You’ll also need to be physically fit, as the role involves lots of heavy lifting. A good time keeper and smart in appearance, you’re prepared to work Saturdays when needed arises (usually one a month), although normal working hours are Monday to Friday. In the event of Saturday working, we’ll give you time off in lieu.

For the right person there is an opportunity after you have mastered the fundamentals of the role, to develop a career in warehousing and logistics. You will receive training, a development path and learn how to use bespoke IT systems as well as working with the logistics / stock management side of the business.

Pay: £21,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
