Harm Reduction Co-ordinator

**Working Days**: Wednesday - Friday (Part-time 22.5 hours weekly)
**Starting Salary**:£26,578.50 per annum pro rata
Recoop has been supporting and delivering services to help the older offender population both in prisons and the community for over fifteen years. The charity is delighted to be able to advertise for a Harm Reduction Co-ordinator to work at HMP Altcourse.
The role is designed to setup, implement and co-ordinate the training, supervision and management of the Threads Maps Champions programme, which trains prisoners to support other prisoners with wellbeing and emotional support. This is an exciting Contract working in partnership with the Prison Operator, Sodexo.

Recoop’s mission is to help and promote the care, resettlement and rehabilitation of older offenders and ex-offenders. We aspire to be the leader in the delivery of knowledge and expertise to older people who come in contact with the criminal justice system, supporters and the staff who work with them. We will continue to use the views of the people we work with to influence and direct the services that should be delivered.
We are one of very few specialist organisations working specifically to support the needs of this population group. Our services have been recognised as good practice by HMIP (Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Prisons), IMBs (Independent Monitoring Boards) and HMPPS (Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service). With a national footprint, we are a registered charity working to empower older people within the criminal justice system to take control of their lives, to optimise their physical and mental health and to remain free from re-offending.
