Chandlers Building Supplies is proud to be part of the Independent Builders Merchant Group (IBMG). IBMG is the largest independent merchant group in the South of England operating through five core divisions (Builders Merchants, Timber, Plumbing & Heating, Roofing and Electrical), primarily serving trade customers with an extensive range of products. IBMG has over 180 branches extending from Penzance to Margate, generating revenues in excess of £650 million and are supported by over 2,200 colleagues.

Due to the continued success and expansion of our business, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a General Sales Person to join our team in Bury St.Edmunds.

**The Role**

We are looking for a full-time Sales Person in our **Bury St.Edmunds **branch.

This position would be ideal for anyone who is currently or has recently worked in a similar sales environment ideally. In-house training for all computer and technical aspects of this role will be provided.

You will represent the branch and assist with the growth of the business working as a team to exceed sales targets.
You will ensure that the needs of the customers are dealt with quickly and efficiently whilst providing a service that ensures that customers return on a regular basis.

You may also be required to help in other roles within the branch including restocking the shop, stock control and assisting in the yard.

**Specific Experience & Skills Required**
- Customer Service Experience (Desirable)
- Sales Experience (Desirable)
- Industry Sales Experience
- Good building product knowledge gained within the building industry or builders merchant experience.
- The ability to build and maintain relationships with different types of customer.
- Have worked on a trade counter or within an internal sales / telephone sales role previously.
- Comfortable operating a computer based sales processing system (full training will be given).
- Good telephone manner.
- Friendly, articulate, customer focused.

**The Hours**

Week 1: Monday to Friday 07:00 - 17:00
Week 2: Monday to Friday 07:00 - 17:00 & Alternate Saturdays 08:00 - 12:00
