Taylor Blackwood Associates are now looking for a CNC machine operator for our client near the Cannock/ Walsall area.

This role will lead to a permanent position after 13 weeks of a temporary to permanent period.

Job Details:
*Monday-Friday

*8am-5pm (Day work)

*Overtime available with increased rate of time and a third

You will ideally have experience with CNC Machinery, welding friction machines, welding robots etc.

**Duties**:

- Set up and operate CNC machines to fabricate parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Use hand tools and measuring instruments to perform quality control checks on finished products
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to ensure accuracy and quality of parts
- Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to maintain production efficiency
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes

**Skills**:

- Proficient in operating CNC machines and understanding their functions
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job orders
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality control checks using hand tools and measuring instruments
- Basic math skills for performing calculations related to machine operation and part measurements
- Experience with materials handling, including loading and unloading raw materials and finished products
- Ability to fabricate parts using various tools, equipment, and techniques, including welding if required

We offer competitive pay packages based on experience. This position is located in a warehouse setting.

**Salary**: £11.50-£13.00 per hour

- Walsall, West Midlands: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
