**Live-in: £30,000-£40,000 per year DOE**
**Live-out: £40,000-£50,000 per year DOE**
We are seeking a Head Housekeeper for an UHNW client to support their family in their Oxfordshire home, with live-in and live-out options available.
**Working days: Monday-Friday**
**Hours: 8:30am-5:30pm with one hour lunch break**
**Occasional weekend work required with advanced notice**
As Head Housekeeper, you should be confident with all aspects of housekeeping and be able to clean and care for the home to a very high standard, with excellent attention to detail. You will be responsible for the daily and deep-cleaning of the household, and ensure it is always tidy and presentable. Making beds, cleaning bathrooms and all areas of the house. You will also be responsible for laundry, ironing, and ensuring that the home is generally well presented and cared for. Attention to detail is extremely important, and you should enjoy working to high standards as requested by the principals.
You should be discreet and well mannered, and the family are informal and relaxed, but still like their home to be presented to the highest degree. You should be a good team player, able to work on your own initiative, but also happy to manage and work alongside the other Housekeeper at the property. You must be pet friendly, willing to walk the dog, and a love of horses is advantageous but not required.
You should have strong initiative and an eye for detail, the house is beautifully cared for, so you need to be able to come in, and keep the standards strong. You should be happy to run errands, make sure the inventory of the pantry is well stocked, and from time to time pick-up of the children from school. You should be good at house management and have a working knowledge of the household, allowing it to run smoothly. It is a varied role, so you should be able to go with the flow, and adjust to daily requirements of the duties.
The family consists of two children, aged 9 and 11, with a friendly dog, and they are now looking for a new, long-term flexible Housekeeper. A beautiful, five-bedroom property, they have lovely grounds and their own horses. They are a busy family, with children at school and they have another full-time Housekeeper, however, they are keen to find a new long-term Head Housekeeper to join their family home and work with their close-knit staff.
**Main responsibilities**:
- Manage and support the team with the daily cleaning and maintenance of the home, and ensuring that it is tidy and presentable at all times
- Making beds, cleaning bathrooms and all areas of the house
- Responsibility for laundry, ironing, and ensuring that linens, bedding and towels are store and maintained correctly
- Knowledge of sensitive laundry requirements and how to implement these
- Run errands for the family when required, and ensure that the pantry is well stocked at all times
- Light cooking duties, mainly food preparation, but this is not a big part of the role
- Oversee the food shop on weekly basis
- Ensure that the children are prepared accordingly for school at the beginning of each term (checking school uniforms and basic requirements from school handbook)
- On occasions, may need to stay over with the children if the principals are at a social event overnight, but overtime/time off in lieu will be given
**Requirements for the role**:
- Minimum of 3+ years experience as a Head Housekeeper in a private household
- Desire to remain in the role long-term, and want to be part of a wonderful household
- You should be warm, lovely and discreet with a calm personality and energy, with excellent common sense and initiative
- Be a great team player as there is a fantastic dynamic within the household
- Flexibility around hours when required
- Due to the location of the property, you should drive and have your own car
- Excellent, contactable references

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
