Electronics Repair Technician

Our client based in Theale is currently recruiting for a Electronics repair technician to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a technician who wants to associate with healthcare technologies such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), MRIRF Coils, X-ray, CT systems and Ultrasound.
You will be part of an electronics laboratory team that mainly deals with a wide variety of electrical devices that reach the lab for electrical repair. These devices can be power supply units (PSU), RF power amplifiers (RFPA), RF coils, IT or other. Youmust be someone with an inquisitive mind looking to understand how a device functions and not only replace components under given instructions. You will get accustomed to operating diagnostic imaging devices such as MRI and CT scans for testing and qualityassurance. You will be given training where needed and you will be required to obtain certifications relevant to our operations.
**The Role**
- Source documentation, schematics and follow manufacturer's procedures.
- Determine the best practice for each repair, liaise with experts in and out of the company.
- Generate reports of quality assurance.
- Document procedures and source equipment for future repairs.
- Work as part of a bigger team of operations including customer service, field engineers, warehouse etc.
- Report to the manager of the repair operations.
- Always ensure compliance with ISO, medical devices regulations, and follow health and safety rules.
**Skills required**
- Minimum 5-year experience in testing, troubleshooting and repairing electronic assemblies
- Experience in reverse engineering electronic devices, able to work without original schematics
**Desirable**:
- Degree in electrical or electronics engineering. BSc, HNC, HND, Military training
- Mechanical workshop experience is desirable
