**EMEA Controls - Markets - Senior Manager**
**Department Overview**
The EMEA Control Team, as part of the International Control Organizations serves as the front line non-financial risk management organization of Wells Fargo supporting the Corporate & Investment Banking, and other businesses in EMEA with risk strategy, implementation,and execution.
The team assesses and effectively manages risks and delivers an integrated view of risks, produces a sustainable control environment, and instills a culture of strong risk management. CIB Control interfaces with Independent Risk Management and Audit to consistentlydrive comprehensive implementation of regulatory and corporate risk policies and programs across all lines of business.
**About this Role**
The Business Control Executive (BCE) Senior Officer will report to the EMEA Markets Control team Head within the International Control organization.
This position will be accountable for the front line control responsibilities related to the EMEA Markets line of business. This is a regional senior officer position which will develop and execute consistently with the Group Control Executive's 5 pillars amongstother objectives this targets risk identification & assessment, control & issue management and control design & evaluation.
The BCE Senior Officer will work with designated lines of business (LOB) to implement and execute the required risk and controls and help identify, escalate and proactively manage 'non-financial' risks in the designated lines of business. This position willpartner functions across the second and third lines of defence as required.
**Responsibilities**
Performs and manages for the Front Line the programs with respect to the designated Markets LOB as follows:

- Identifies and documents risks, controls and self-assurance activities associated with the lines of business and business processes.
- Partner with the respective Support Function Controls teams (Finance, Ops, HR, Legal, etc.) to understand and assess the front-to-back risk & control environment as it impacts the business line.
- Coordinate the development, implementation, and monitoring of Legal Entity (LE), business-specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk.
- Support related LE Risk & Control Self-Assessment, Business Process Management (BPM) and Control Evaluation activities consistent with the Group Control Executive's 5 pillars, Risk Management Framework, regulatory commitments and associated policies establishedby Independent Risk Management (IRM)
- Manage the design of business-specific risk controls and provides the leadership over the development of remediation plans to address any control weaknesses or gaps. Advise and coordinate with the respective Support Functions as required,
- Drive collaboration with the EMEA Control Programs management to lead and promote a strong risk culture to ensure effective communication and supportive partnerships
- Where necessary assist with the design, implementation and monitoring of new front line controls for the Legal Entity across the relevant LoBs, consistent regulatory requirements and associated IRM policies
- Ensure assigned strategic plans includes LoBs material risk and associated activities consistent with the enterprise risk framework and risk appetite statements
- Ensure LoBs and, where necessary, planned support function activities in region are consistent with the Enterprise Risk Framework, policies, and programs and risk appetite framework, and to ensure they are well-calibrated and integrated within the Lineof Business.
- Attends and represents EMEA Regional Business Control team in relevant business meetings
- Engages with ICAAP operational risk assessment to satisfy Enterprise and Regulatory requirements.
- Remediates RCSA quality assurance and IRM credible challenge findings.
- Collaborates with the Business, Business process 'Subject Matter Experts' (SMEs), and business contacts across the second and third lines of defence and BCE's from other regions to deliver the designated LOBs control program requirements.

**Skills and Certifications**:

- Strong experience in risk (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or similar financial services industry experience, of which there must be directexperience in risk
- Proven experience implementing and maintaining effective risk management programs, especially risk controls, within a large complex financial services company.
- Knowledge of global banking regulatory/supervisory frameworks.
- Ability to manage and/or collaborate with geographically dispersed teams, matrixed relationships and interact with all levels of an organization
- Must be a proactive self-starter who values personal accountability and thrives under pressure in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
- Strong relationship management skills and organizational savvy
- Experience communicating in both written and verbal formats with executive-level leaders
- Ability to analyze data and make connections across various data sets to make recommendations to management and project teams in a timely manner.
