**About the Role**

An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced professional to join the Affordable & Specialist Housing Team as Affordable Housing (Enabling) Team Leader.

You will provide leadership, management, and support to the Affordable Housing Enabling Team and work as a team to maintain an in-depth understanding of the current housing market in the district, analyse and evaluate affordable housing need, and identify gaps in provision and develop innovative strategies and partnerships to secure affordable housing solutions that address identified gaps and foster long-term sustainable communities.

As well as direct work to deliver affordable housing, you will also support and contribute to the development of the affordable housing aspects of statutory regional and local Planning strategies and policies.

Working with the Team Manager (Delivery Lead Affordable & Specialist Housing), you will support the development and delivery of strategies which leverage market-led housing activities contribute toward meeting B&NES corporate objectives.
